We made a trip Lincoln, NE over Labor Day to visit Aunt Meghan. We stopped in Omaha to do the zoo as well. It was the BEST zoo trip I have EVER experienced. We had PERFECT weather + Long weekend=PACKED zoo! Fortunately Aunt Meghan came to our rescue (AGAIN) and got to the zoo early (well we were actually just late as usual) and stood in line for 30 minutes! So we walked right to the front of the line! The animals were SOOO ACTIVE and Luke and Julia were so enthralled it was enjoyable to watch from a parent standpoint. We left with many memories!

Elyse was a GREAT traveler! She took 2 long naps in the ERGO! She was a real trooper!
The gorillas did spins, twists, came up to the glass, put their hands on the window etc. Like I said, an AMAZING experience!
Memories from the zoo:
1. Our first stop was the Orangutans. They were slapping their hands together and a person in the crowd would toss them a snack. Then they would put their lips together for a kiss! My kids were belly laughing the whole time.
The next day we went to church and Aunt Meghan started clapping her hands to the music at church and Julia started tossing her a pretend snack. She thought she was trying to act like an Orangutan!
2. Aunt Meghan bought them a stuffed animal. Taco the snake (Luke's) and "Oranguha" the Orangutan! (Julia's)
3. We went swimming at Aunt Meghan's pool after the zoo and Julia is LICKING up the water in the pool! I said, "Julia, what are you doing?!" She goes, "I am a polar bear!" OF COURSE!
