Fall Fun!

I have done a really poor job of blogging lately.  I apologize.  Below is a recap of our fall events.

Julia had a pumpkin delivery service.  She came up with this business idea all on her own.  She made signs, bought and delivered pumpkins.  She is $15 richer now!  It was a great learning experience for her.

We went to Grandpa and Grandma's this fall and their neighbor Rex made the the LARGEST leaf pile ever!  They loved it!

Good buds...

Julia was Jessie off of Toy Story for Halloween.
Luke was a power ranger or a Samari.  We weren't sure! :-)

Elyse was Winnie the Pooh!  She loved playing this part!

Elyse marched through our neighborhood just like the big kids.  She got HANDFULS of candy.

We had our cousins come over to join us for trick or treating.  So fun!

Grandpa let us borrow his black cats.  they were a huge hit!

Summer Events

As we approach our last week of summer before school starts I thought I would post a few pictures of our summer highlights...
We took a "mini vacation" to Minneapolis to do the theme park, rain forest cafe, Build a Bear, and of course...hotel swimming!  Luke and Julia LOVED the amusement park and even rode a rollercoaster.

Luke and Julia also got to go fishing a few times this summer at Grandpa and Grandma's.  They have both become quite the fishermen!  They love to put the fish in the "live-well" and give the fish a shower.

We made a trip out to visit Aunt Meghan this summer as well.  She took us to  a paint your own pottery place.  Luke made a beautiful fish named Quesadilla (to go with his stuffed snake named Taco).

Julia made "Rocko Trio" and of course loved doing this since she spends COUNTLESS hours doing "craft" things!

Swimming was a huge part of our summer as well.  We managed to make it to our pool probably 4 times a week.  All the kids love the water.  Elyse though will point at the water and say, "NO NO" when I "dunk" her under.

We had the opportunity to visit the local firestation this summer.

We went through several boxes of popsicles.

fun times with our cousins

more  pictures from the amusement park...

Look at those faces!!!  They were LOVIN' it!

Even Elyse got to ride a few rides.  She thought she was big stuff and did not want to be left out!

she's a pro...

Luke and Julia did their first "fun run" this weekend.  I think they might follow in their dad's footsteps and be runners someday.

It has been a great fun filled summer.  We have many great memories from summer 2011.

Happy Birthday America!

The kids had a lesson with Grandma this weekend about what exactly the fourth of July meant.  I am pleased to announce that Luke and Julia know it is America's birthday and why we celebrate!  Here are some pictures from our fun day at the parade with our cousins!
Julia picked out her own headband and wore that hard piece of plastic on her head for 6 hours with out taking it off once!  Ouch!

Luke picked his own 4th of July shirt out.  He was SO PROUD of it!  He called it his "special America shirt."

Elyse was so excited to be waving her flag.  She really enjoyed the parade as well!  Especially eating the candy throughout the whole parade.

So thankful for my family!

The kids learned the bigger they waved the more candy they got!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!

Summer Days....

We have been enjoying these hot summer days!  The kids LOVE going to the pool so we will be spending lots of time there this summer.  However, when we can't make it to the pool we still manage to get sprinklers, water table, and of course Popsicles out to cool us off!  Happy Summer!

Soooo excited for a popsicle!!!

Love these guys so much! :-)
